Live harness racing May through early July, and mid-August through early November, Sunday through Thursday. Simulcast harness and thoroughbred racing (off-track betting) is open daily, year-round, noon to midnight. Admission is free for harness racing and simulcast wagering. Call for a schedule of other live events and ticket prices. Located on US 13 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds, Harrington.

Harrington Raceway, steeped in tradition, was home to the first pari-mutuel harness racing meet in 1946. The Harrington Raceway now draws the fastest horses in the country to compete for large purses. Visitors can get close to the action, right at the edge of the track. The track also hosts motorsports events throughout the year, such as car shows, auto races, and motorcycle competitions.

Live harness racing is conducted ninety days each year, May through early July, and mid-August through early November, Sunday through Wednesday (subject to change), post time 5:45 p.m. The new clubhouse dining area overlooking the raceway offers buffet dining and televisions on every table. Dinner guests may place wagers with clerks who come to the tables. The new simulcast parlor features a sports bar with numerous video screens showing racing from up to 13 racetracks at a time, smoking and non smoking sections with individual handicapping stations, and a “high roller room” available for fans desiring additional privacy.
