About Dover Days

Top Event Logo

This is Delaware’s Capital – Dover – and you’re invited to experience the history, fun and flair that is offered on Dover Days weekend, April 30 and May 1, 2010. In its 77th year, the festival offers you a glimpse of a small town state capital, complete with an old fashioned parade, maypole dancing, walking tours, entertainment, art, crafts, food, house tour and so much more!

What a value! Admission and parking are free as are all of our museums and public buildings that are open for tours. Start the weekend by stopping by our free “Tourism Gives Back Concert” on Friday evening.

Start Saturday early with an All-You-Can-Eat breakfast; wave your flag as the parade passes by and cheer on the Maypole children as they perform on Dover’s historic Green. You can fill your afternoon with shopping at our Craft Fair, viewing demonstrations by Early American Artisans, touring the Governor’s Mansion, partaking of goodies at our food court, taking a walking tour and enjoying the entertainment scheduled on our festival stage. Children’s activities abound; mural painting, games, scavenger hunt and carnival rides.

Pack your bags and get away for the weekend – our hotels welcome you with special prices and packaging for Dover Days weekend.
