Marshtown Hunting Preserve


The Preserve is open to the public six days a week. The Marshtown Hunting Preserve is located at Routes 1 and 8 in Dover Delaware. Our fields are open Tuesday through Saturday and we offer Pheasant, Quail and Chuckar hunts. Hunt with one of our guides or your own dog in one of our many fields. Dover Air Force Base Outdoor Recreation Skeet Range From novice to expert, this range has three skeet fields. Range one and two are primarily used for skeet with targets thrown from a high and low location. Range three is set up for Five Stand shooting where targets are thrown from eight different locations as shooters are positioned in five predetermined stations. Range experts on hand Wednesdays, 2-6PM; Saturdays, 9-4; Sundays, 9-1. The range is open to all eligible members, including non DOD civilians with special admittance. The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve


The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve is located at 2992 Lighthouse Road, Milford. Operated by DNREC’s Division of Fish and Wildlife, the center is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, May 23 to June 30. Beginning July 1, the center is open 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The nature center grounds will remain open each day until sundown. The distinctive red-roofed center includes an observation deck with telescopes to view the harbor, bay and shoreline and the more than 130 species of fish, shellfish, waterfowl and birds that populate the area. Outdoor tanks with live, adult horseshoe crabs allow visitors to see and touch one of the longest-surviving creatures on earth. Inside the center visitors can view shorebirds and horseshoe crabs along the shoreline more than 100 yards away, courtesy of a remote camera and a 42-inch plasma viewing screen.
